We recently were able to aquire some special edition Britains V-E Day Sherman tanks. They come on a cobblestone base with citizens celebrating the end of the war. I don't believe these have ever been available in the US. They are item #41165, 41166, and 41168. We got special pricing as well, so they are only $60 each!

These models are very hard to get and I think "rare". I have seen them some time ago on some sites in the UK and on Continent but never on a US site. I was thinking about getting one a couple of years ago, but with the value of the dollar and shipping costs at that time, the price would have been about $200. So, I could get two K&C sets for that much and I made the choice to not get them.

I think they celebrate a great period in time when the war was finally won and the tank that helped to win it. I will be getting one of each from HRH Queen of Toysoldierania. **** the IRS and my tax debt to them, well at least for enough to get the tanks anyway.
