Is anyone else collecting the Britains WW1 series? I picked up the French charging set today. These are awesome figures and a great series. Hope to see some Highlanders in the coming year.
I have the British MK IV Tank and the stretcher bearers and will have King George V and Lord Kitchen soon. I am looking to expand my WWI collection sometime down the road.
Hi
This is my favourite series,[gloss mind you]
I have a fairly extensive collection of charles biggs and britains premier
but now britains have turned away from gloss in this series i have started trying to track down trophy etc on e bay.The mounted lancer and horse drawn g.s carriage are my favourites from the original series.
I just unpacked a new shipment from Britains. The Deaths Head hussar charging is a nice piece. A score of 93. I give it the Kilted Vampire bite of approval.
John, it seems like you collect a bit of everything from all sorts of time frames, must be great (not to mention expensive) to be interested in so many periods of history and collect pieces from so many different manufactures. Thanks for sharing your passion for the hobby with us.
By the way, that ambulance looks pretty nice, who makes it?
The ambulance is a 1/32 scale from motormint or one of those companies. Very reasonable price and nice detail. Would not pay $200.00 for the Britain ambulance which had many collectors complaining about it. I change around every few years- ancient- modern etc. John
