Just wondering the Britains Napoleonic set for the North Wall is 00148-00153 the complete set for these....I have noticed other Britains Napoleonic sets with different scheme of numbers...are these above and beyond the North Wall Series?

Hi There! I suppose I should mention that I sculpted the original set some years ago when R. Walker and I first worked together at W. Britain/Ertle. As a matter of fact in was the last Napoleonic sets we did for that company before we both moved on. I have visited the site and collected almost every image of the farm and surounding area that I can find. The original plan was to keep adding to the series, but things came to a stop with the change in ownership. Now 9 years later it looks like we have another opportunity, and after looking at the second half of 2006 catalog you should have guessed by now that we are headed back that direction. New walls, add on sets, well and other components are finished and more will be on the way. I think (hope) all of you interested in this period will like the new British and French sculpts in this range. There are almost 30 finished and there will be more...

Re: Britains Napoleonic line

If the whole theme centers around a diorama piece produced 9 years ago wouldn't it make sense to either reissue that piece, or, if that would affect the value of the original piece at least create a new one that would fit in well with the new releases?
Seems to me if you were collecting back then all well and good, but there should be some sort of substitute for new collectors so they can dive into this revisited Napoleonic line.

The old set was very popular, but will not be reissued. The compound itself will be revisited however, including a new north gate, add on wall components, well, scenic accessories, and additional structures. The old set was also based on the closing of the gate as dipicted by Gibbs along with some of the Victorian historical inaccuracies and the new approach are the critical moments immediatly before the closing. I suppose someone could ase the new components to add on to the old set, but that is not the intention. I hope this clears things up...Ken
