That is the actual cost of a USPS Priority Mail Box to be mailed from Washington, DC to France ! When things are sent overseas - I only ship USPS Priority Mail - that way you have faster service (than regular mail) and you have a better custom cert. form to prove that the item was mailed.

I mailed regular mail once to Europe and it was "lost in the mail" - never again.
