Important news flash!!
After much deliberation it has been decided to change the name of 'British Commando' to 'The New Model army' as it was felt that the new name would have more appeal and give a better impression of what we are trying to achieve. It was also felt that 'British Commando' was too name specific and as we are not actually going to produce any British Commandos for a long time a little misleading.
I will also be handing the reins over of the marketing of 'The New Model Army' to Blake Reade (my cousin) within the next month due to family commitments and he can be contacted at the following email address:

info@thenewmodelarmy.com

The New Model army website is up and running please go to;

www.thenewmodelarmy.com

Website still under construction so please bear with us - I fly to China on Sunday and will have photos of finished and near finished products for your perusal the week begining 16th January which will be posted here and on our web site. Your feedback is vital so please be honest and let us know what you think!!

Regards Mike

So I go to your website. Where's the product??? Do you have photographs of even the masters you could post?

No photos until next week - sorry but hopefully worth the wait!

We are anxiously awaitng the photos, although I still like the old name better; it's distinctive and stands out, just like the King and Country name. I think people would eventually realize that you're not just doing British commandos.

But the name 'New Model Army' has somewhat Cromwellian connotations! Not to mention that people may think that you'll give them a verse of "Ballad of Bodmin Pill" or something similar. Still though, it's an improvement on British Commando. Looking forward to seeing the new sets.

For my 2 cents worth i agree with jazzeum,I also prefer the name british comando.

The only thing I don't like about New Model Army is it sounds to much like a slogan for the armed forces of today whereas this new company will be making more historical soldiers. That's my principal beef.

Thanks for your input guys - I promise not to start singing or reciting poetry - photos only next week!!!:)

Over on Toy Soldier Chat, Mike has indicated that they plan to launch at the end of March but if Phase 4 samples are not good enough it could take longer.
