I am sooooo waiting for a British Regiment of Foot with the standard red coats and stove pipe shakos or waterloo shako!!!!! What is a Napoleonic series without them!!!!!!

A CONCERNED
WELLINGTON...
THEY MADE UP THE BACK BONE OF MY ARMY YOU KNOW....;)

Wellington if by the waterloo shako you mean the 1812 pattern raised front shako I don,t think that would be the way to go if we are to stay with the peninsular war(1807-1814). These did not show up until late in the war and most never even switched over. I think the stove pipe is what we should be looking for. The portuguese were the ones who used this shako(raised front) in the peninsular war.

Who cares...I want them both.....I want them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WELLINGTON...:D :D

Although much of the Napoleonic miniature output is concerned with the Peninsular War I think it'd be no harm to see a few K&C sets address Napoleon's mis-adventure into Russia. (Either a summer of winter campaign would be good). Apart from some of the St Petersburg Studios there perhaps isn't enough attention given to it in the area of toy soldiers and military miniatures, and given the price range there it would take someone like K&C to bring it into the affordable category. There's a group of Belgian modellers and painters based in Antwerp who exhibit some dramatic figures but it'll need some cheerleading from the K&C hardcore to get Andy to stray into this territory, so to speak.

Wow a picture really does tell a thousand words, what a thought provoking figure I must admit. I really hope Andy isn't just intending to do the Peninsular period...I think Waterloo period, 1814-15 as well as the Rusia stuff is so very important. Heres a question for ANDY will you be doing later Napoleonic time period?????

WELLINGTON...

I,d like to see the period of 1813-1814 (The battle of nations) Which was pretty munch the first world war as all of europe was involved. The battle of leipzig was the largest battle in history until 1914. If andy went with this period he could make figures from any nation as they were all invovled at this point and they could also be used to do any of the other wars also like 1812 russain campaign,Waterloo, peninsular, ect. (all of the latter battles). I,d like to see some prussians, russains and austrians some barvarians would be cool also. Alot of these nations can be used for or against the french at this point. At the start of the russain campaign they were all on the french side (even the long time foes the austrains)by the end they were all against the french.
