My wife and I just finished to watch Broadchurch Season 1 and wow this was excellent! If you like British thrillers with excellent plot, great natural settings, superb acting and actors who look like real people and great picture this is your thing to watch!

Since that post we watched Season 2 and just finished Season 3: both were as good as Season 1!

Admittedly, it can be more than a little depressing. But we enjoyed it nevertheless.

Another great series that is to me more on the depressing side is Hinterland. Same picturesque atmosphere and great acting as in Broadchurch but a little bit darker. It takes place in Wales not England (Dorset)...

Both great seasons that I’ve enjoyed very much.

I think you recommended A French Village but I didn’t find it all that good although I’m probably in the minority.

Yes, the French Village is a good one but the seasons come better together if you have the DVD set and watch them all together rather than watching week after week on MHZ on TV5Monde since the pace is per year during the war not really a continued story line across seasons, so it's easy to get disconnected. I got the seasons 1-6 DVD set on Amazon France and waiting for season 7 to be on DVD. I am going to France next month so I will see if I can find it :wink2:

I’ve been watching it on Hulu which has all the episodes.

I have MHz Prime, and it has all seasons together.
