Here a howitzer crew has no time but to set up in the middle of the road to address the enemy.

"3 rounds, Fire for Effect" ???

No time for cover when the 'grunts' need suport!

Looks great with the base and the way that you have postioned the soldiers in the diorama. I can almost smell the chordite!

John

These are really excellent pictures. That black background contrasted with the JG's snow bases is fantastic.

But, I don't understand why some pictures are smaller than others sometimes. Also, why do some pictures show up as enlargeable thumbnails and others are fixed?

Great scene,it really does look cold doesn't it?!.The Howitzer is a great model from the early Bulge releases and you've got to love JG's bases and trees. Thanks for posting.

Very nice dio! The Bulge figures are really some of K&C best.

Mike

Thanks to all for the comments and glad you like it.:)

Kurt, I use the Treefrog "Manage Attachments" option for my pictures which puts them in the "fixed" mode I guess? I'm not sure how others get the enlargable thumbnails... maybe something like Photobucket?

A very effective diorama. Nice snow and base work. It looks cold.

Gary B.

Nicely done. Your black backdrop contributes to the feeling of icy coldness.

wwiibuff, you are great at putting certain pieces together to make a wonderful scene like this! The diorama looks real!:) Good job and keep them coming.;)You have a talent.

Thanks G.I. Joe...I really appreciate the kind words. It's fun for me to try and come up with different scenes. I'm glad to have likeminded collectors to be able to share with.:)

Just to futher this point. My wife is really the only other person who actually sees my dioramas "in person", ( and even though she says "that looks nice honey" ... she really is just trying to be polite) so I'm glad for this forum to be able to get some feedback from fellow collectors that might enjoy dioramas like I do. Thanks again.

Like you, my wife and family are about the only ones to see my collection, thats why I started showing off my troops on the internet, on my own website. From that 'humble' start about 12 years ago I've now had loads of favourable comments from like minded people, and that really make the effort so worthwhile.

There are about a dozen or so other collectors here in Perth, and we do get together about 2 or 3 times a year to 'show and tell' but its only if you can get to big show that you meet lots of others. This forum is a wonderful way of comminication and exchange of views and information on our hobby, and from the number of memebers, its well supported.

Keep on sharing your diorams with us, we all appreciate them :)
