Buried Burma Spitfires update (1 Viewer)

Just heard on the BBC that the 36 Mk14 Spitfires buried on a Burma airfield in crates in 1945 have been found and a contract has been signed to bring them home, details to be announced at the Imperial War museum today. Meantime here is another recent article on the find;

I second that my friend! I wonder if with so many Spits the market price of them will plummet from around a million quid to something I can put on the wife's credit card:wink2:

Lets hope its them Neil, they are sharing them with Burmese government so if there really is 36 brand new Spits in those boxes it means 18 new Spits will be coming home to blighty, I hope they do not all go to private collections and the IWM and maybe Hendon get there hands on one each.
