Burma; Buried Spitfires update (1 Viewer)

If they find even one Spit in good nick you lot in the 'OLD DART' will be like cats in the cream, hears hoping they find the lot in good condition...just image a whole squadron! Now I will have to dig around the back yard as there was a R.A.A.F base down the road during the war, might find a Lanc or two.....:rolleyes2:{sm3}

There was a major airfield near my old town of Toowoomba and there were many rumours of Spitfires being buried in mine shafts. Quite a few people spent a lot of money looking and found nothing. But then there was the British scrap yard that was rumoured to have a Tiger tank buried under the scrap. It didn't of course, it turned out to be only a Panther......
