This set up is about 20 years old. Last weekend decided to move it to another shelf. Turned out to be easier than I expected. These are a couple of images of the set up in its new spot.

Not only does it look good, it had a dusting at the same time, win win. Robin.

Great diorama of Antietam! 👍👍. I am in the process of planning my first trip to Antietam with my friend Morgan and my son right now. Should be there, Harper’s Ferry and Frederick Maryland in early to mid August.

I finally got to the battlefield in September of 2019 and it was very emotional to finally see all the legendary spots. I have been to Gettysburg over six times and Antietam seemed to be a simpler and better preserved experience. Not sure why. The short film in the visitor center was very enjoyable and the self directed tour in your own car was enjoyable even to my "non fan" traveling companions. If you are into aerospace/ airlpanes too, don't miss the Air and Space Museum Annex museum very near Dulles Airport. Huge museum with a little bit of everything and worth the visit. Enjoy your trip!

I've been to Antietam a few years ago. My greatest take away with these battlefields are battle tactics that put sheer number of soldiers in the open to push the opposing army off the field. World War I was probably the worst. The other take away is soldiers had to walk everywhere. The shoes (seen in museums) they wore were terrible. Imagine a supply train ten miles long. When you see today's people with the latest running shoes, carrying a water bottle and complaining about the heat, you got to laugh.

Beautiful scene ! One of my 'bucket list' items is a long trip into the ACW battlefields. Once during a business swing, I got by Petersburg for a few hours and it was amazing.
