Last month I got a new 2011 K&C set# BBA042 for $42.00 USD for a single foot figure of an US Army Infantryman kneeling & firing his rifle for my Battle of the Bulge diorama. Then just recently I noticed by chance that there was a 3 man foot set (#3 German Army foot figures in assorted poses) for K&C set# BBG024 for $95.00 USD including S&H which came to an average per foot figure price of $31.67 USD. I had not planned on getting to this set until I recently saw it Online and I realized that it is a "bargain" at just under $32.00 per figure Vs the price of the very new BBG042 set at $42.00 USD. It reminded me of I believe it was the end of 2010 when I got six K&C Napoleonic NA021 infantry figures or sets at just $21.00 each prior to the 1/1/2011 price increase for all sets made prior to 2009. I just did some research at Treefrog Treasures web-site for K&C sets now on sale and I determined that there are a large number of "older" K&C single foot figure sets for sale in the $29.00 to $32.00 USD range. Other collectors may want to review the older K&C sets that are of interest to them that are in the $29.00 to $32.00 price range before they are retired or their prices are increased. The $29.00 to $32.00 priced foot figures are just as good as the new $42.00 ones coming out just recently. At least it may be worth while to make a review of the older foot figures that are $10.00 to $13.00 less in price!

I did the same thing with my BOB figures. In most cases, the older figures were at least 10$ cheaper for each soldier.

Yes, I've noticed the same, and when figures come up for sale many people put the price as the orignal cost, so they are good bargains.

I was lucky enough to stock up on many NAP figures before the price raise, by eating into my 2011 toy soldier budget late in 2010, and thats sure paid off, when you see the current prices.

Also its not only King and Country thats raising its prices, I was just looking at the new newsletter from Tradition of London, and thier castings have incresed too, so its a worldwide change.

Dear John:

Yes, I agree indeed, I did not mean to imply that only K&C has increased prices a lot this past few years.

I agree with you on this "Iron Brigade". I've been buying "low priced" K&C items recently, like the Cromwell ($145) and several figures for $32. I'm trying to catch up on some older pieces before they are gone.
