I had a talk with Ken Osen at last London December show and he told me, that he was still searching for a dealer in the UK/Europe regarding Hudson/Allen.
as a German dealer, I can only tell you, that to import buidlings and vehicles is so expensive now (customs extra duty, shipping costs regarding the space of the big boxes...) , that it makes no more sense.
Same for K&C vehicles&buildings btw (at least here in Germany - FEDEX costs me more than 35% for shipping !!!)
Thank for taking the time to replying to my post . Look like the only option is to buy it from the USA then {sm2}
depending on work should be going to the show Saturday with my boy for the first time , Can I asked what the name of your Toy company?I think so, I just checked and could still find no European dealer for H&A...
are you attending the Britains club event on this Thursday or the London show this Friday ? May be Ken will attend as well and you can ask him directly...or you come to my table and buy some beautiful new Indians made by team miniatures as an alternative :smile2:^&grin

Another idea would be to spend a vacation in the us, visit Ken & Ericka and bring a damaged factory home as a souvenir. Might make a better one than a painted shell or a mini model of the Statue of Liberty or the Golden Bridge.
I've check checked out W Britain Facebook page and he bringing the new building to the London show ^&cool

Shipping is becoming the major issue for small business and the customer. Costs keep going up and gauaretee of safe delivery non existent.
Sent a package across Canada via UPS after, figures in foam cut and solid box. Then wrapped in bubble and placed in a second bigger box.
Package arrived two weeks late and several figures damaged. I even had notes and stickers indicating fragile and this side up. UPS response was have the package sent back, bring it to the store, and they will ship it to the local head office for examination. Dont expect a response for several months.
The only two people that handle the box are the receiver and the delivery guy. The rest is performed by electronic handeling, just flip the box till it recognizes the shipping label. Electronics can not read anything else, and dont care.
If I did as they wanted the costs would exceed the value of the product, with no guarantee of compensation. Plus as a small business the employee said it was not probably packed right.
When I look at the packaging that goes into a single figure from the big manufacturers the only way for them to make a profit is to have a substantial run and ship in quantity. That requires the retailer to carry inventory or wait till he can built an order up. Both have their drawbacks.
While the cost of going to a show or dealer can be expensive, think it as a vacation well needed.
Happy toy soldiering
