Not big into warbirds, but I would definitely buy a C-47 with D-Day paint scheme if KC ever produced one. Would go great with DD031 "D-Day Minus One".

I would be right with you on that line, let me tell you! I'd hitch it to my K&C Horsa Glider.

Hey there

Do you think it would look something like this. I bought this piece a while back from fellow forum member Noli-Poli.

That is one terrific looking piece, a four star beauty..........

Oh! Oh! Great model. Congratulations for that acquisition.

Pierre.

Are there any creative talents out there eager for a challenge? You could make your very own C-47 at a fraction of the cost...unless you consider time is money of course.

Thats a sharp looking set up, great plane. I'm not into warbirds but I would do either a storch, horsa, or C-47 to go with my WWII dios. I suspect these might tempt other non warbird collectors to dip their toes in also.

More like lack of talent means you have to shell out more money, at least in my case:(.

Ha, ha, come on now, who are we going to talk into assembling this Guillow's kit for us on the model building thread?

MCKENNA who made that model? Is it wood?

Yes it is made out of wood(one piece I believe). I believe it was constructed in the Philippines out of mahogany but I don’t know the company or person that did it. According to the seller it took one dude about a year to make. It is by far my favorite piece and I consider it the crown jewel of my collection.

If I remember correctly, I think was made as a prototype for someone who was thinking of putting it into production. I remember a conversation and photos matching this plane a year or two ago.

It is spectacular.
