I had bought a great book on fashions in Venice and it featured this painting which looked remarkably similar to this Cafe Storme figure. So since I have a painted piece of the original, I've decided to do a conversion of another spare piece.
Actually there were several other similar painted portraits of other ladies in the book. All in very similar dress differing in details. I selected this one because of the oversized ruff around her neck. From my reading, these women including Isabella were wearing the Spanish dress which is more or less this conical structured costume. Many of them came with a "cape". Hence I selected the closest resemblance to the Cafe Storme figure to minimise the conversion. I will still have to scrape off the moulded decorations and paint my own.
My painted Isabella is below, in more suitable sombre Spanish attire.
