I don't know much about this figure except that it is another great solid plastic casting. There are online portraits of this Russian beauty. I have added a rose to her hair.

This is a great figure, that I could see using as a master to make a mold and cast in white metal.

Prost!

Storme

if the plastic colour is white, this means you have in hands a test figure ( before full production )
after that they reloaded the machine with coloured compound, but without cleaning the machine first
so they are pieces from white to the " normal" Storme grey, even some marmorean ( the rarest ) colour has not mixed yet .

the full ranged here : http://www.mokarex.fr/menufigstorme.html

Hello Brad and Mirof,

Yes, it is a great sculpt. The figure is grey plastic and I had posted it previously under the "What New Toy Soldiers did you get recently thread".
I have already airbrushed a matt white undercoat before this picture was taken.

What a great rendition !

Hi Ivanhoe,

Thanks for your comments. Here is an update on the painting stage. I tinted the gown with lavender offwhite. When dry, I overpainted and glazed with iridescent white. The flesh has been painted in.

Victor;

That gown paint job is beautiful !

What brand paints did you use ("Lavender offwhite", glaze and "iridescent white") ?
Never seen such a nice finish for a fancy gown.
Gives the gown so much depth...very appropriate.

Thank you.

Hi Ivanhoe,

I undercoat with either Humbrol matt enamels or Jo Sonja Acrylics. I almost always overpaint with artist oils. I use W&N, Rembrandt and Old Holland brands.
Lavender was Old Holland. Only Titanium white gives you the most intense white colour. I use zinc white with lavender to give an off-white look.
The iridescent colours were developed mainly for acrylics, giving a nice shiny "pearl" look. W&N had an iridescent white colour which I used. This is not opaque and the end result is a glaze.

I've painted the face and skin, reattached the rose, and painted the hair and other details.

You did a wonderful job with her.

One of the best figures I have seen in ages.

You are to be congratulated with the work you did.

Now that the paint on the dress has dried, I picked out all the highlights with pure white, tightened up all the other details too. Almost done.

'She' just keeps getting better...didn't think it was possible.

That gown is fantastic.

Thank you.

The sculptor for Mokarex/Storme was R Gillet who founded later with E Leliepvre the company Historex

Hello Mirof and Ivanhoe,

thanks for your inputs and kind comments. I have decided to nickname this piece MornyLisa....:):):)

More pics

Really like the Black background on all of the photos...it adds a 'touch of distinction' to these 'Classic' figures.

Don't know if I will ever forget the job you did on her gown...got to be one of the best I have seen.

Thank you so much for posting.

Hi Ivanhoe,

Thanks for your very kind comments. I was just lucky with the colour mix for the gown. It just came together.

Hi All,

I am going thru my other projects, completed and abandoned, while waiting for a diorama case. Lately, I've been doing more sculpting than painting and I decided to keep my hand in on my painting.

A very minor touch up on the eyes and shoulders of this piece.
