Australia have the new WW1 sets before us. It seems Canada has the new Zulu sets before us. Is this an inauspicious commencement of distribution operations by Bachmann's???? Not a good start!

It's all made a bit more worrying when you see the WW1 sets as "retiring" on the WB site before you've even had a sniff of your four month order!

Had an e mail off Bachmann today seems the rest of the WW1 stuff, new Zulus Sets new Nap sets will arrive in the UK on the 20th of July and will be out for delivery in the following weeks.

The WWI sets are shipping in the UK this week. Bachmann brings in full container loads of trains and soldiers from the far east, this usually means they will be receiving figures at the same time as the US and in some cases two to three weeks faster than we used to in the UK (when we only brought in pallet loads - which take an extra 2-3 weeks to be broken down and clear customs). In this case there was a delay in the container. I wouldn't read any more into it than that, and sadly we can't control the shipping companies, weather, Somali pirates, or cantankerous customs officials etc.

Let me explain "retiring" - any item that is a limited edition and is now in stock will say "retiring" no matter how many we have left - it simply lets folks know it is now here and once it is gone it is gone for good. Once it says "retired" that means we are out but our retailers/stockists almost certainly have them in stock still.

Hope this helps - and am glad you are so eager for these! Hang in there!!!

I was being a bit naughty. I know when we start moaning we get an almost immediate response from you to let us know what's going on. Now you know my tactics!

GALLIPOLI! Sorry, that just slipped out! BATTLE OF THE NEK!! Can't help myself.
