In an earlier thread I mentioned that I would welcome some variation in the colour scheme and pattern of the FJ's ( and other german figures) camo jump suits and jackets ;
Let me show what I mean and what the possibilities are:
1.they are all painted the same colour with green trousers (winter or summer ) ,we all know that wear and tear is important here
2 they all have almost the same camo pattern which in reality is almost impossible
3.they all have the same brown curl on their backs
Let me be VERY CLEAR, THE TGM FJ'S ARE AMONG THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS, BUT THEY COULD BE EVEN BETTER WITH JUST A LITTLE EFFORT !!!!!!
let's have some colour variations and some new camo patterns in 2016 the possibilities are endless

Thanks Guy for the pictures and description of the German Para's. Greatly appreciated for painting figures. John.

How large are the TG FJ figures? The new W. Britains figures have grey pants and are 60mm tall.

TGM FJ's are also 60 mm tall not counting the base (with base between 63- 65mm)

Guy; the TG FJ's should go perfectly with the W. Britains Falschirmjagers. The W. Britains website shows two figures 25038 with p-40 and 25039 with Kar 98. They both wear very well painted splinter pattern smocks with grey pants and helmets! Mixed in with the TG FJ's they should add considerable variety. I think they are well done figures; let me know what you think. Treefrog has them cataloged as preorders for Winter 2015' they should be available soon.

Yes I have seen these figures, they look more than OK

I imagine the Splinter Camouflage pattern is a real challange to paint well! Much more so than the Pea Dot pattern IMHO!

Not so hard with a very fine black pigment liner ( I use a Staedtler pigment liner) and a STEADY HAND !!!!!

Guy; My hands are not as steady as thy once were! Age does that. I was delighted to find out recently that W. Britains had increased the size of their matte figures to 58-60mm from 54mm.
Compatable with First Legion figures and Armor and Thomas Gunn Armor too. I forsee the W. Britains FG next to a TG Hetzer in a Normady diorama!

Looking forward to see your Normandy diorama ( by the way I am 70 years young, but my hands are still steady when painting. I have been painting figurines for over 50 years, it has become more of a habit, still painting a couple of figurines per week)
