Hi,

I'm new to the lead soldier world having been passed a collection of fort ducal soldiers to sell on behalf of my grandmother.

I'm having real difficulty trying to find a catalogue on line and I'm trying to identify a british soldier, dressed in a blue/black jacket with gold braiding, buttons and sash, white gloves, red trousers with 2 gold stripes and black boots. He has a black hat with red on it and a red and white point. The uniform looks like the hussars but the soldier is sat on a leopard skin (complete with head) on the horse. I have been fortunate that most boxes were labelled ( although I don't yet know how accurate the identifications are, or if the right lids are with the boxes), but this particular one simply has unknown written on the label, would be grateful if anyone can help. Thanks

[B][Sounds like a British 11th Hussar. Can't put a date on it without a pic. Trooper/B]

Hi Taff - as a newcomer to the forum - you may be struggling a bit to post a picture of your figure. Does he look like something like this picture? Johnnybach^&grin
