The toy soldier company who were going to begin producing british paras for Arnhem. They advertised in TS&MF with a brit para lying down with binoculars?

Think it was Battlezone or somerging?

Scott

Battle Zone sounds right. There was another soldier pushing a wheelbarrow type thing.

They also produced paratroopers, both British and American suspended from parachutes, para containers with rifles, Sten guns and Bren guns, a wounded para being carried on a door, a para on a Welbike along with various other paras in fighting positions. Don't recall where they ended up but K&C had the parachute at one time. That had been made by Mountford and was easily identified by him as he had made a mistake on the number of panels. Trooper

Pretty sure if I am not mistaken I met the owner of this company at Chicago several years ago.

I think he had some sort of accident, fell off of a ladder or something to that effect and injured himself badly.

Again, it was a long time ago and I think that is what happened, a real shame............

The open drop container was a cool concept. Sorry to hear about the owner of the company and his injury.

Hello Scott,
Believe this will help; http://www.tedtoy.com/battlezone.htm. Figures are 54mm (1:32 scale), not certain as to what may still be left in stock.
Best regards,
Arnhem Jim,
Arizona Territory

Cheers bud!

Great responses lads thanks!

In those pics the paras look a lot more glossy. Wraith sent me a pm explaining his experience with them.

Shame if thats what happened to the guy!

Scott

A few photos of the ones I got a number of years back....

I got them in matt, but suspect they'd look nicer in gloss. They've got some nice and fairly unique pieces. I'll end up repainting them at some point.

They're a definate 54mm traditional size (couple of shots with K&C, just to compare sizing etc).

Cheers
Simon
