I'm interested in purchasing the book, Stalingrad. The defeat of the German 6th Army by Paul Carell for my holiday reading.
Can anyone recommend this book? Is it worth adding to one's military book collection?

There was a discussion of this a while back, listed under "Carell titles" in the book section. It is a book worth having on it's merits but is was basically pulled from the Stalingrad chapters in Carell's "Hitler Moves East". If you do not have HME, then it is worth buying. If you have HME, then it is redundant. Hope this helps. -- lancer
