I hope everyone enjoyed seeing these King & Country Backlot Buildings! I have always enjoyed seeing them in photos (thanks to Louis posting shots of his collection) and through Bill Sager's website.

I had never had the chance to actually see one in person, until I was lucky enough to pick up a set of them. I wanted other King & Country collectors to have a chance to enjoy them also. They are really quite sharp in person, with each having two different fronts to make a great display.

Louis was nice enough to provide me with a little history, the items numbers and the original purchase price of each $128.

Capt Gable felt right at home!

Very nice John! Those backlot buidings really are a lot of fun, very versatile diorama pieces!

John,

Great looking stuff. Glad they arrived safe and sound. My favorite is definitely the mini Arch of Triumpth. That's one item I would never part with!

Great looking buildings in your collection.

Many thanks to all, glad you enjoyed the photos!

Very nice pieces there. I wish that there was something similar but of an English theme to display my troops marching through London :(

I would love to see King & Country make another series of these buildings.

I don't know if its feasible, with the current state of our economy......soon

it might be cheaper to buy an actual house, if you had the cash.

It doesn't look like there is going to be much mortgage money available!:D

I noticed something about the one building that makes me curious--why does the building with the sign, "L'Accroche Coeur" have a German bakery sign, and shutters painted in the German Reichsfarben of black-white-red? Does it represent a building in the occupied region?

Prost!
Brad

These are the back lot buildings for the 1995 Arnhem series so since they were under occupation, it's appropriate.

Well spotted my fine Germanic Aristocrat.

And as good resistance members, they probably spat in the dough for every cookie they sold to the Boche.

That probably e'splains why they are sooo chewy!:D
I think it is time for maybe a few more back-lot style building facades.
O.C.
