I got this EK casting some time ago.

Not a bad or great figure, just cheap. I've continued to paint his robe and feathers in the new purple colour, following on from my repaint of Cleopatra.

Looking at this casting, I'm thinking of replacing his crude and chunky standard with some brass tubing.

I did a minor repair on his right elbow.

I added groundwork to this figure and continued to paint the armour.

Also added more foliage to Carausius at this stage. I try to vary the foliage on each of these pieces.

Finished Caraussius. I'm waiting for the oils to dry before adding final shadows.

Added a wash of shadow. But I think that I need to delineate the pteruges further.

Good work Vic. You'd certainly would of been able to pick him out on a battlefield, if Allectus hadn't done for him first !

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your comments.

I removed some casting errors on the undercuts, repainted the pteruges and highlighted the gilt on his armour. I think that this colour scheme is more harmonious overall.
