Along with the usual classic sports and luxury cars, this year's Retromobile Auctions in Paris commemorated the 100th anniversary year of the start of World War I by featuring a few of the legendary vehicles and arms used in France during The Great War.

1914 Renault AG1

The name Taxi de la Marne was not used until the outbreak of World War I, when the fleet of Paris taxis was requisitioned by the French Army to transport troops from Paris to the First Battle of the Marne in early September 1914.
