Uncle Ho may have slipped away but two other VC suspects weren't aren't so lucky, telling the ARVN translator that they were bathing in the river and yet they cannot confirm the names of the families in who's hooches they say they belong to !

It'll took a while, but they finally broke down... {sm4} Our "specialist" is real convincing, gets guys to spill their guts!{sm2}

Once again, well done!

Cheers

Enrico

P.S.: I love that red mulch! :rolleyes:

Thanks Enrico. Though the Flock/Scatter/Mulch isn't so Red as it is in the photos, but still darker than I intended as it's homemade.
To make it:
Fine sawdust and Terracotta (Orange and brown mixed) paint. Mixed and then dried. I oven dried mine since it's a bit wet here now to leave out to dry. When dry, because it makes large crumbs when mixing, just crumble to dust between fingers or put through a sieve. Next time I'll probably add some white paint to the mix to lighten it a little.

Cheers Mike, I guess it's because I don't have a permanent place to have dioramas at the moment and the shelves are crammed as it is, so I set up my ideas and take photos. The best ones end up on the Forum, so at a later date when I have the room. I'll be able to chose my favourites to set up again. Assuming of course one figure is in one diorama and not several !:wink2:

Yes I think Uncle Ho will be showing up in many more Vietnam dioramas ! ^&grin

Out of the box thinking again Steve using those prisoners from another series. You are always thinking, I think I am slowing up, age related no doubt. As I have said before, you own this era. Robin.

Cheers Robin, I think it just an era that I have long had an interest in and a range that many have been long awaiting myself included, where as you Robin do such a wide spectrum of eras in your dioramas. We can always borrow ideas from each other to enhance the scenes we do !
Here I have utilised bits and bobs from other ranges to tell the story.
That Del Prado figure is a bit on the large size though. So lets just say his height is odd in a country where a smaller stature was the norm !{sm4

I am a bit fussy with size, sorta has to be 1/30, although I can adapt to civilian figures that are smaller, that seems realistic. As you have done, placing a larger figure at the back assists in the scale aspect. Your flair is thinking out of the square Steve and you are coming up with some interesting scenes. You will be happy to know my Japanese figure set has been removed from my Vietnam scene. One lucky feature for me, I have a man-cave with many permanent layouts, in fact I now have 90% of m collection in view, either in a dio or shelf, so I get tremendous satisfaction when I visit it, which is most days. The sets I buy now, must have an existing spot awaiting them and so far I resisted buying those that have no home allocated. Basically I have reached capacity. Always enjoy what you display and the commentary that goes with it. Robin.

Ha ! You're taking japs out of your Vietnam scene and I've put them in !^&grin
