Well the great work by young Obee is finally finished and my heart felt congratulations go out to him for an amazing and pain staking job. New callsigns have been attached and the last photo shows the job John has done pinning the Dozer kit to the mighty K&C Centurion. The first photo shows the blades on the Centurion at different levels with one blade being fully open and the second in the half open position. I am led to believe that these two "Beasts" will be flying home to Hidden Valley from Perth tomorrow. Counting the days.

Many thanks Obee, stay safe and well, Cheers Howard:salute::

The conversions look like they are straight from the factory, seamless and professional. Having a artist like John at your fingertips is a godsend Howard. Your delight with these is obvious and justified. Looking forward to seeing how you display them. Robin

He sure has more that the current Army establishment has of these type of tanks now they have been retired.

It was a 'labour of love' doing this project with much 'angst, swearing and gnashing of teeth' to achieve the desired result.

I'm now waiting for them to arrive next week and for Howard to set them up on his Vietnam Diorama and then see the whole group together together with other diggers from this series.

Now onto the next project for Howard .... more M113 conversions .............

Andy mate,

You maybe not far from the truth. An Armoured (Tank) Squadron in Vietnam consisted of a Sqn HQ, 4 x Tank Troops, a Spl Eqpt Troop, a LAD (Light Aid Detachment, RAEME) and a QM Troop (no armoured vehicles). Sqn HQ consisted of 2 x M113s, 2 x Centurions and 1 x ACV. The 2 x Centurions were callsigns 30D and 30E. Because of the constant work load of the Squadron it only operated as a full squadron (30 AFVs) on one large operation during its three and half years in NAM. As the work load became so heavy the Sqn OC created a 5th Tank Troop by taking the 2 x SHQ Centurions and the 2 x Dozer Centurions and formed a new Troop. So I am thinking that 2 x new K&C Centurions should have callsigns 30D and 30E to add to my range.

Also attached are photos of the other Armoured vehicles used by the Tank Squadron but "not yet" made by King & Country.{sm4}
