For the convenience of those not going to the UK website, attached are a couple of photos. Wasn't able to copy the rest for some reason.

This looks very exciting, to say the least!

Hi Brad
Glad you like them, we are all very excited at K&C UK and the response has been outstanding.
Cheers
Bob Neville

Bob,can't wait to preorder them. They look so good they are the first non WW2 range i will be collecting. The quality and artistry are very exciting and i hope this series goes from strengh to strength.A moement of tragedy and bravery that resounds to this day.A great choice of subject.Good luck with it.

Guys

A little bit about the development and i will try and answer the questions that have been posted.

Also Brad the pics are not appearing?

Monty to try and ask your many questions in no particular order (next time come to the show and it will be easier).

Launch will be June (delayed from march due to Chinese new year)
Prices TBC but we are looking at around the same as a NAP mounted and crew etc
Range will be added to every six months.
We are starting with the Charge then moving around the Crimean. It is our intention to look at the VC's, Sabastapol, Thin red line, Heavy Brigade, florence etc
We would like to have K&C accesories as this was a time of some great defences with whicker effect.
There will be single items available as well (in time) we would like to expand it like the NAP's range with singles etc
Most of the peices will link, Myself and Andy are having great fun in his office coming up with different concepts.
The majority of the stock will of course be held by K&C UK we are talking with (early days) with USA dealers/dealer However costs will dictate the amount available to trade and this will be restricted.

The items that are developed now are 3 single mounteds and a gun team. They will be sold as such, however they are all designed to link in. This will be a continuing feature.

regards

Tony Neville

Hi Tony,

Hope you got your xmas pudd!

Will the cannon and crew be one set or do you think they might be singles too?.

Rob

sorry Tony just re read last line, need glasses,

Rob

Tony,

The pictures do show up on your site but when I go to copy the others, it won't work. Not a big deal.

Too bad we have to wait until June but good things come to those who wait. Hope you work it out with US dealers. Otherwise, I'll just order direct.

I saw on your site that you are descended from royalty. Should we call you by your correct title? :)

On a serious note, tt must have been a blow to your ancestors at that time to lose two sons like that.

Since this will obviously wake up interest in that period of time, perhaps you and others can suggest books to read.

Guys

Brad did a great job but we web protect our pics from copy sio he could not get the rest.

Hope you like.

Reminder as we are still getting mail about these:-

Mounted figures sold as SINGLE
the Russians you see sold as a gune team including cannon.

Hi all,

This is my first post to the forum, prompted by excitement over K&C's upcoming Crimean War range.

Brad, I thoroughly recommend Terry Brighton's book "Hell Riders - The Truth About the Charge of the Light Brigade" (ISBN 0-670-91 528-9). The book focuses on the Charge, but also covers the major actions fought during the Crimean War and even does some mythbusting on the topic of Florence Nightingale.

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your suggestion.

What areas and eras do you collect?

Welcome aboard Stickleback. So your interest is the Crimea? Have you ever read about the actions of the Chasseurs D'Afrique during and after the charge? They made a textbook assault on the Russian guns on one flank of the valley, permitting the survivors of the charge to ecape back to the British lines. Frontline made excellent matt figures of them.

I would appreciate any other suggestions as to reading material as my knowledge (if you can call it that) is strictly limited to Alfred Lord Tennyson's work. For those who haven't checked out King and Country UK they have some very usefuly synopses of the battle.

Welcome Stickleback. You have have found a very interesting place to obtain information and have companionship (electronic anyway) related to your' and our hobby.

Be aware, be very aware. Toy soldier collecting can be a very compulsive life style. K&C is the villian that has addicted me. I am just about caught up on WWII and the Napoleonics. The Crusaders are calling very loudly. They keep saying, "buy me, you'll like me, buy me, look into my eyes and buy me." I have resisted but I don't know how much longer I can holdout. And now, that bast%rd Andy:eek: :D , has started the Charge of the Light Brigade. Thank goodness its a limited series in the UK so that may help me not to give in to the Persephoneic Sirens.;)

Sceic2

Sorry to say you may have to be strong as the Crimean War range being created by K&C UK and designed and manafactured by K&C is not a limited range. It will however not be as fast moving as most of the K&C ranges but it will be devloped every six months. We open the range with THE CHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE but the intention is then to run most of the battles and even step into the world of Florence.

The first and second wave June 2007 and Dec 2007 will be based around the COTLB.

In a couple fo days you will be able to listen the charge on our website
