Yo Troopers, just showing some temp photos I was sent of Chess pieces I have just had painted by Kevan Darby. Its amazing how different they look painted.

First Anne Boleyn Queen piece from the Tower of London set. Anne was on a black chess base so was down as a baddie lol, dont know why the poor girl was classed as a baddie. But then Henry V111 always got his own way. Showed the plain Pewter model before painting.

Second Queen Elizabeth 1 Queen piece from the same set Tower of London. Elizabeth was on a white chess base so one of the goodies.

Third one of Americas favourite sons lol:rolleyes: King George 111, King Chess piece in the Revolutionary War set, you can see other chess pieces in my albums.

Amazing what a lick of the ole distemper brush will do eh Bernard. These are very nice indeed. Keep em coming :D :D:D I love all of your pieces but especially the ones related to the monarchy.

Anne was classed as a baddie as Henry had her investigated (and tried and found) her guilty of high treason. (Adultery and incest were two of the crimes)

Yo Scott, if you believe those charges against Anne are true, well lets look at it. The King has a new mistress Jane Seymour even moved into the Royal Bedroom, so he wants shut of his old wife, and sets the wheels in motion, none of the charges were proved, and Anne even on her death confession swore to God she was never unfaithful to the King. There was nothing down for you those days, the other guy who confessed did so under torture, and lets face it the tortures they had those days, you would confess to anything:eek:
Bernard.

I was just quoting what was written, there are many historians who do not believe either.
I agree 100% and afterall Henry was noted to be a bloody tyrant and I guess what the King says goes, true or not. And we think we have it hard

Bernard, nice additions! Are you going for the complete works in 90mm? I take it the other semi painted figures in your albums are going to get similar treatment.

Yo Jeff lol, complete works:D now wouldn't that be something, maybe if I was 20 years younger might get there. Mind you if the guys want to start donating, or swap for my 54mm sets lol might be able to get there:rolleyes:. Yes the semi painted and unpainted are getting the old brush treatment still about 10 to go send a couple over every week, Royal Mail do well out of me.
Bernard.

Yo Troopers, just had two more Temp photos sent of some of the rare Chess pieces that are getting painted up by Kevan Darby, cheers mate

First is a Mounted Nap Knight piece from the Waterloo Chess set, which I have not managed to get any info or photos of yet.

Second is the Marquis de Lafayette a Bishop piece from the American Revolutionary War Chess set, and of course from the American Army.
