Yo Scott, did say a REME one would turn up by Buckingham pewter, which confuses some people. Chas Made all the models and the painted versions sold under the name Chas Stadden Studios. Buckingham pewter was the factory they were cast at, so it was one and the same factory as Chas Stadden studios lol. The difference under the name Buckingham pewter they were cast in high grade pewter and not usually painted, but they were what I call on a Regimental base, always had the Regiments cap badge, but, but, the model shown was also sold in the Chas Stadden catalogue # 70 its titled "Private Combat Dress" but put it out as a Buckingham pewter piece with the REME badge of course all the REME lads bought it. I have the 3rd Kings Hussar 1860, who amalgamated with the 7th Queens Own hussars, to form my Regiment the Queens Own Hussars, but then Buckingham pewter put the same model on a base with the QOH badge, so I bought it lol. Anyway it was a very smart sales pitch, they must have made a bomb using the same model twice. I never saw a REME bod dressed like this they were non combatants, and I never wore a Hussar uniform lol only Battle Dress, but the models sold no problem. Hope you followed all this{sm2}.
