Well, tomorrow I hop my flight to see what this Chicago show is all about! I'm very much looking forward to it. As I mentioned previously, because of my wife being very close to her due date, this will very much be an in out trip for me and I need to travel light in case I get the call and have to run off to the airport. So in addition to speaking at the Treefrog/Sierra/Troops customer appreciation dinner, I will also be visiting in some dealer rooms throughout the day on Saturday. And of course, I will have with me a selection of never before seen masters to show from a variety of existing ranges and even a premiere of a brand new range. So even if you aren't attending the dinner, stop by one of the dealer rooms at the times below to say hi and check out the new figures!

Saturday Room Visits
Sierra Toy Soldier - 10am-10:45
Minuteman Toy Soldiers - 12 - 12:45
Ted Toy - 1 - 1:45
Treefrog Treasures - 2 - 2:45

Looking forward to chatting with you all and seeing what this is all about!

Best,

Matt

Matt...

enjoyed meeting you and drinking with you...

especially drinking with you...^&grin

congrats on the newly expected family member...

Anyone have anything to say about the treefrog dinner or what Matt had to say there or the show figure??...Sammy

At the dinner I asked about his plans for additional castle sections. A fortified gate and additional castle pieces are planned no time line. However, if I understood him correctly, the pieces will be part of the Roman series (Siege of Jerusalem). The new castle sections will match the previous sets.

Sammy,Matt talked at the dinner about how he got interested in the hobby, and basically the steps involved in starting First Legion with his partners. He talked about living in China for I believe it was 7 years. Then he opened up the floor for questions.on a personal note,on Sunday I chatted with him a bit about the possibility of a modern range.Funny thing is,the range I had in mind is the same thing he said would be of interest to him.Heres to wishful thinking, but I'm not holding my breath.lol.He also mentioned future pieces for the Vietnam range.Trust me,what he described is very cool.Dont know if I can give details or not,so I won't.and of course you've probably seen the new pictures of the Patton tank prototype. It was very cool in person to see.The figure from dinner was a DAK tank crew member.I don't think the figure is new,but I'm not sure.Hope this answered some of your questions. Jason

Also forgot to mention that Matt was a super cool guy.Very friendly, and it was neat to finally meet him.

Here is a photo of the figure that was given out at dinner.
