Hi All,

This was an old piece done this century...:) I have just added a rock formation and signed it.

Nice work Victor.

You will have to tell us a little more about the foliage on your bases when you get a chance.

Mirof,

Thanks for showing those. Chota Sahib did make some fantastic figures in the 80's and they are not easy to find.

Hello Mirof and Scott,

I think that Sid Horton was a very talented modeller. I remember visiting his modest stand at one of the shows when he first started Chota Sahib and had only a single figure on display.

Here are four more Chota Sahib figures on the British Regts in my collection. At one stage, the moulds were acquired by a company called Soldats de Ligne located in Plymouth but I think that trail has gone cold.

When I do a more detailed base, I putty over, add ground and foliage with white glue, and then paint over with a dark brown colour. Then I drybrush with a light brown colour to bring out the highlights. More white glue, and then add more grass, rocks, twigs etc. Sometimes I add metal-etch foliage for variety. You can see a simple base done on my Napoleonic Drum Major thread.

Hello Mirof,

I was surfing at your website http://www.mirofsoft.com/nostalgia-old-catalog-pdf and noticed that these two figures are featured under Dek Models, made by Alan Caton and Derek Cross.

The website http://lrmminiatures.com/chota_sahib intro.htm you refer to is operated by Lou Masses, a very talented painter who has been featured in Historical Figure and Miniature Magazine.
