Question for diorama makers:

As I am helping take down the Christmas tree I am noticing some branches/ fronds that would make nice evergreen 🌲

Unfortunately some of the tree is already dry (happened very fast even with water)

Is it too late to salvage them and spray them with glycerin or hairspray?

I am afraid it will not help. They will turn brown even when sprayed .

You could spray them with green paint, this would solve the problem.( I do it with other natural material I use in my dioramas)

Thanks for answering!

So, I would have needed to cut them immediately, or at least very early, after getting it to keep them from turning?

No no use, nothing helps, it's nature . Cut them now and spray them with green paint and when the paint is dry spray them with glue . This is I think the only way to save them for further use in your diorama .
guy:)
