For my UK friends and those who can get UK tv there are a couple of history progs on during the festive period.

BBC4 , New years day ' Fifties British War films, days of Glory' charts the decade that produced some of the most famous British War films.

BBC2, New years day ' Queen Victoria's children' three part series looks at her children and her (in some cases) fractured relationship with them.

Also three repeats that are well worth catching if you missed them;

More4, Sat 29th December ' Blitz, London's firestorm'
BBC2 , New years eve, ' The Red Baron'
BBC4, Wed 2nd Jan , ' Operation Crossbow'
