Yes they are. I tried a few months ago, and I like the idea to build and painting different soldiers. TAMIYA has very nice different proptotypes that fits to my east front set ups. But my dio is made for K&C 1/30 scale.

Yes they are! I use sand and foam, that's all, of course some photoshop effects (see pic of Himmler, before and after) to put some atmosphere of the 40s .
