This probably would not be a very good choice as there is corrugated metal in the model which had not been developed yet.
Take a look at the new W. Britain defensive works for ACW use, these are more typical.

I think you might find some other emplacements that we make a little more appropriate for civil war. Although corrugated metal did find its way to the US from the UK in the late 1840's and is very possible that it could have made it to the battlefield in one form or another. To me dioramas are a labor of love so if looks right to you and is within the realm of possibility I use it.
