I just received the December issue of Civil War History and they've devoted it to the Trauma of War. Articles include the author of Shook over Hell: Post-Traumatic Stress, Vietnam and the Civil War reflecting on his book 16 years after it was first published; accessing Connecticut patient records to learn about PTSD during the Civil War; War trauma, suicide and Confederate soldiers; and Cowardice and how the fear of acting cowardly affected Americans' behavior during the Civil War.

For those interested in buying the December issue, you should contact Carol Heller at the Kent State University Press: 330-672-8090 or cheller1@kent.edu

The fear of "acting cowardly "vs fear at the moment,,Iv dealt with it since my own time in 1966
