I just aquired an older Clark Gable figure in the wind blown trench coat. I've never seen one up close before and was suprised by the crude painting of the facial details. Are they all so crude? no eyes per say just 2 black lines and kind of strange detail around the mouth. Not what I'm used to seeing even in the earlier K&C figs. Anyone else have one? is yours the same?

I know Louis has one. I'll contact him and ask him to get back to you.

Yes, despite the excellent sculpting, the facial details on the Clark Gable figure are a bit crude. Andy's explanation to me was that the Chinese factory that painted the figure tried to give him an Asian appearance, with slanted eyes and a fu-manchu mustache. It is an extremely rare figure: I only know of three others, mine, one my friend Hans just obtained and one owned by Jim Hillestad.

Amazing! I'm happy to have such a rare figure, the bad news is the known supply just went up 25%! Thanks for the info.

My brother and I each have one -- purchased at close-out prices of US$12 each at K&C's Hong Kong store.:)

Well, the known supply just went up by 50%! Wonder if Clark "would have given a d***."
