Classic Commandos. Dusted off some Airfix originals. Paint takes really well with Vallejo Primer.

Thanks for the comments. I've re visited the airfix sets in the last year or so and found a new lease of life for these old boys. The re-issue sets are great for conversions.

Go on give it a go! Modern Acrylics and the Valejeo primer take fine to the plastic. I varnish with Windsor and Newton Galleria Matt varnish for added protection. I rarely get paint flaking.

Hi - please advise about the Vallejo primer - does it stop the paint chipping?

I usually undercoat my polythene figures in Revell matt white and it forms a good base for humbrol enamels or acrylics

any info appreciated
