I have acquired some old figures, which need repairs, plus they are filthy. I will be trying gentle scrubbing with hot soapy water, but wondered if anyone has any ideas to improve on that. These particular figures have grime and possibly Nicotine on them.

I would highly recommend you reading the "Services" section of the forum. From here you should be able to acquire all the info you need regarding repairs in order to maintain your figures or even armor as well, if you have one. In the "Services" section, their is a tread under "cleaning figures" check that out. Hope this helps. {sm4}:)

Thanks for the heads up. I had never been into that section, very interesting. I have cleaned up the figures with warm soapy water, with a lot of success. There is still a small trace of dirt in the crevices, which all helps to bring out the detail. I have a fair bit of glueing to do, then a small amount of paint to match, then I will have some lovely figures. Some are Tradition, others I have no idea, so will be posting pics & questions.
Thanks again.
