Can these KC figures be washed in plain water ? They do collect dust after displaying. Also how to refix broken parts with e.g spears etc. Any suggestions !

Re washing, I would use a cloth very lightly moistened but I wouldn't do much more than that. There is also compressed air you can buy (principally used for computer keyboards).

I would use compressed air can for keyboards like jazzeum said it works.

I went to the dollar store and bought a cheap set of ladies makeup brushes. You get a few different sizes. They are very soft and great for dusting !!

For difficult dust, which can become a film that cannot be removed you

can wash your figures.

I recommend only using cold water and dish detergent with a soft

toothbrush. The paint will not wash off, carefully dry your figures and use

a q-tip to wick away any water from difficult areas.

Never Use Hot Water!

I used compressed air, also someone told me to hold the figures as the oil from my hands are good for the paint.I don't know if this is true or not but it doesn't seem to hurt.

Oil from your hand leaves a residue on the painted surface which will collect

dust leading to the grime I discussed above.

It will also leave a finger print that will be very difficult to remove.

Figures should be wiped clean after being handled, or at the least brushed

with a soft brush such as a womans makeup, or I use a camel hair kitchen

basting brush.

This comes from my years handling Lionel Trains & Dinky Toys, and figures.

Compressed Air is nice.....but if you hit a weak paint area you will not be

happy with the result!
