Someone asked me if I would have been into the Red Lancers, as much as I have been. If I did not have this General Colbert Figure. My answer is YES, because every single piece is a magnificent piece. I am just extremely lucky to have the Colbert piece, the topping of the cake was the first one made.

Just checked the First Legion Web site, Looks like they got the shipment in. The Red Lancers, and the Waffen SS. The Pieces are almost at hand!!. :)

Colbert is very nice but I passed it up because no wounded soldiers allowed in my camp ;) and also the bandage will limit it to a Waterloo display.

Plenty other great and still available figures to go for - eg. the French aide-de-camp and Ney - will not look out of place leading the red lancers

That is true that anyone can lead the Red Lancers, But, I thank the luck of my Red Lancers that It is being led by a guy that has a bandage in his arm. Makes it more historically accurate. And Totally completes the set. :).

Congrats! Indeed it will look awesome!

For me, it will be Ney and aide-de-camp at the head of carabiniers, cuiraissiers, red lancers and hopefully many more types of cavalry! A riot of colours! {sm4}

P.s. Will buy a fully-fit Colbert in a jiffy!

Your shooting for the whole French Cavalry, which is extremely great!! That will be fun!!, And if they come out with a different variation of Gen. Colbert. I would buy at least one in a heartbeat.

Not to forget Lasalle and the hussars! FL Naps are unrivalled in terms of offerings :salute::

More accurate for Waterloo but not essential elsewhere. I think the RL set looks excellent, no matter who leads them. Personally though, I cannot wait for some French Dragoons.

Yey, I can put him in a Waterloo dio.!!. The guy that is the actual / direct leader of thr Red Lancers. YEY.
The most famous battle, of that period. One more YEY!!!.

I am in agreement with Harper; I would like to see some dragoons. However, I would like them to be not charging. Maybe some scouts on walking horses or something rarely done a group of standing horses with some dragoons being mounted and others standing beside or grooming their mounts.

King’s Man

PS I like the new Red Lancers.

We all know FL's version of Colbert is just Fantastic.{bravo}} I'm Happy I have one in my collection but even if I didn't I'd be all over the Red Lancers and happy to put the Officer at the head. It will be a while before I can get these but man they are nice. regards Gebhard

Guys, we are way overdue for mamelukes (I know I am a broken record) and I do believe that if produced by FL they would be simply stunning in their oriental and colorful outfits charging or standing!

They do look great, if FL releases it in the same colors as in the painting. It will be very hard for me not to buy any.
So please Matt, listen to the Man. Thanks.

I would like to see them fighting rather than charging. I think we need more of fighting cavalry types of poses, to me, we have more than sufficient charging poses, which was such a small part of what cavalry did.

Yes, more interesting action poses other than just charging would be most appreciated. Was quite hesitant to go the full works on the otherwise nicely done carabiniers and cuiraissiers because of the lack of fighting poses. And the poses were quite similar.

It starts to get very one dimensional if every single cavalryman is just charging or tumbling from the charge - and every other cavalry officer is admonishing his men to charge forward with a raised sword.

Just in case, anybody really wants the General Colbert Figure, Someone is selling one in ebay.

If I remember correctly, it cost $139.95. So far its a $60.00 profit. For a limited edition piece, and Red Lancers release
It will definitely be going higher.
