I don't know if anyone has had a chance to look at the 2009 Collector's Club Annual booklet that John sent out...

but this is a very nice pamphlet...

very well done with the prettiest glossy photos...

with photos...prices...release dates...limited edition count...and an index of all his previous releases...

this is a really quick reference...

I hope he will consider one for 2006, 2007 and 2008...

Mike

How do you get one of these?

Randy

My dealer mailed it to me...

I just assumed everybody would get one...

I kind of thought that you were instrumental in the production of it...

I was going to ask if you made it for him (some pictures) hahahaha...

whomever did it...did a really nice job...

He sent me two of them if you have trouble getting one from your dealer...

I will mail you my extra...

let me know...

I need to do a JJ order soon so perhaps Mike will send it then.

Doesn't this come with the 2010 membership? I believe I read this some place. Maybe it was in the JJD news letter from sierra toy soldiers?

Mine is probably on an aeroplane or sitting in a container somewhere on the otherside of the world. Sometimes living on an Island has its disadvantages!

I'm living on an island also...much smaller though...32 miles long...2 1/2 miles wide...sometimes living on an island has advantages...lots of beaches...lots of bikinis...:D

the cover of the pamphet says...

"Collector's Club Annual 2009"...

so I'm guessing it is for club members...

I didn't join this year because I don't collect 1812.

I don't collect 1812 either but there will be FIW sets too as the Durantye Snowshoes set.If anybody wants the 1812 figure just let me know and you can have it for what I paid for it.

I got my Annual and I agree with Mike that it is very nice.

Yea...it's sooooo nice...

it reminded me of the calendar that Randy worked on...

a great quick reference on all John's stuff...

looks like John treated us to a nice freebie...:D:D:D

I dont collect the 1812 series either, but I bought the figure cause if I squint real hard, the figure looks to me, like Richard Sharpe. Also wanted to re-join just in case any FIW figures were in this years club. The annual, I quess is a labor of love for John, and a small token of his appreciation for his fans support.

It's my understanding from John...

that the Collector's Club Annual pamphlet...

was intended to be issued only to those that purchased the 2010 Collector's Club set...

the Annual was not as an enticement to buy the membership figure at all...

(as it only became aware to us as a bonus freebie after the fact)...

but as a project he had gathered information on from a previous thread on Treefrog that we all had a chance to give input to...

it looks like an expensive little project and I think he just wanted to give something back to his collectors...a gift more or less...

Capt. Jenkins is the figure that he chose...who actually participated in the War of 1812...he has an illustrious past and achieved the status of distinguished service...

I personally like him a lot, but...I realize everyone does not collect 1812...

however, with John putting out 6-7 series now...

I think it's almost impossible for him to select a figure that will appeal to all 100% of his collectors...

if he had been a Snow Shoes figure and you only collected Jacobites...you might not have found him desireable...

I think it's going to be extremely hard to please all his collectors with the membership releases...as it would be with any manufacturer...but...he is aware of this and is concerned on how to please more people in the future...

There is a snow shoes set coming has one of the collectors club sets.

Got mine yesterday. Very NICE!! Thanks John for this great reference material and very nice "eye candy." I've spend quite a bit of time already leafing through it. I assume Randy had a hand in this somewhere. IFso, great job, Randy!!

The Annual is a premium that comes with the 2010 Club figure.

No I didn't work on this and was unaware of it until Mike's post. John is going to send me a copy to look at and make suggestions for future issues. I did not join the JJD club this year since I did not want the 1812 figure,

OK, Randy you're off the hook. :D
