Hi all,
I have just heard from my #1 choice (except West Point).
I have a three year ROTC full ride to DARTMOUTH COLLEGE!!!!!!!
I was also admitted to CORNELL and the University of Virginia.
Still waiting on UPenn, and Harvard is missing out (it was only #2, so take that!)

Thats great news young fella, listen to your NCO's- they will make or break you in the early years.

Congrats Sandour!

My dad ended up at Cornell and my uncle chose to go to Penn. They both said that Dartmouth would have been too cold in the winter. Neither of them have many good things to say about Harvard though, kind of snooty I suppose.

Not to dissuade you, but our business partner graduated from West Point and said that all told it’s probably a $30,000 a year education that they stuff down your throat one nickel at a time. He did his stint in the Corps of Engineers after graduation.

All are really good schools. I’m sure you’ll end up in the right place.

Best of luck.

:)

Congratulations ! Most folks would have a hard time getting accepted at one if not 3 of those universities

Congratulations Sandor. I'm sure your parents must be pulling for you to accept Dartmouth :wink2:

Hi Sandor,

Congratulations for a remarkable accomplishment! Clearly, to be accepted to these Universities is an earned event. You have done very, very well and you should be duly proud of your accomplishment! Best wishes for an outstanding educational experience!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Bravo Sandor. You should be very proud of your accomplishments. Keep up with the PT as I trust if West Point comes calling you will be going. Thank you for sharing the great news.

Best Regards,
Marc

Thanks all!
Mark- you are quite right, though as of now, my plan is Dartmouth ROTC. I just had a talk with the Maj. in command there, and I am pretty excited about the whole thing. Oddly enough, I will have more time while at college to do things like reenact and go to TS events, so I am looking forward to seeing some of you at shows this year. It is great to have this huge weight of my shoulders- in order to not flip out in the last two hours of waiting, I had reenacting buddies come down and I gt to try out a bunch of different flintlock muskets and rifles. I will post a picture of me shooting my Charlieville in that 95th-style prone position (do not try this- it is not comfortable, easy, or conducive to good aim).
Anyway, thank you all!
