I have to admit, all this talk of shuffling conferences seems quite odd. Nebraska in the Big 10? What incentive would they have to leave their traditional conference? All those other schools to the Pac-10? Kansas left out?

Everyone's running from the Big 12 like it has the plague. What was so bad about the Big 12???

Apparently success on the field/court does not necessarily translate into cash in the coffers.

I don't think anyone could argue that the Big 12 has been superior to the Big 10 in the past few years (much as I hate to admit it), but the Big 10 has better revenues? Perhaps that is due to the Big 10 network.

From a competitive standpoint, the Big 12 was at the top in both football and basketball. It's hard to believe that such a good product is about to go away.

I find these groups very misleading with their names anyway . . . here they are, institutes of higher learning, and they can't even count!!

(And I'm a graduate of the eleventh school in the big ten! )

Really sad to see all the great college football rivalries fade away for the almighty dollar, it's all about money with the NCAA; funny how they are all about the money, yet they put schools like USC on probation (guess old Pete the poodle saw the handwriting on the wall, Lane Kiffin walked into a disaster after blowing off the Vols) for violating their rules, so hypocritical, what a farce.............

I agree with you. This is crazy and I can't say I like it much either.

The Big 8, oh I mean the Big 12 was a great conference.

The PAC 8, or I mean the PAC 10 and now the PAC 15 or more, this is all so ridiculous! But I guess teams are just following the money!

Too bad, I liked the BIG 10/ PAC 10 Rose Bowl deal they had for decades but I guess I'm just old fashion.

BTW, has anyone seen what happen to the Southwestern Conference? I haven't seen them for years, LOL.

Perhaps they should just have a National Championship Playoffs and give all of this silly Super Conference deal.

Oh what do I know, I'm a BIG USC fan and we know what happen to them. May they rest in peace.
