Hi Folks,

A few people have been asking how our 24th Foot figures fit with W Britain and I have always said, they should fit OK as they do with my collection.

Whilst I was at Magpie yesterday, we took a few figures out to photograph alongside some W Britain product and the results are below for you.

In general we are about the same. You will always get some variation, as you will see but, ina general display they do, in my opinion and many others, look fine and the difference is far less than with some other makes.

We also found that some W Britain figures are a little chunkier than others in the same range. I would say this is again natural to expect and most likely down to different sculptors etc. No one has ever said that W Britian figures to not match up or look right with each other so that gives me more faith that our will work fine for any of you wishing to use ours to compliment.

I should mention that a couple of the original figures are now in the 20's stock wise and others in the 30's so, they are selling well and will be sold out this year for sure.

Hope the images help.

Regards,

Malcolm. :salute::

Hi Mark,

Getting dimensions and the right angle when photographing figures is so difficult. In real life there is / was a difference.

The owner and manager of the retailer both made the comment to me before I commented and while I was working in the cabinet a collector stopped by and had a chat and made the comment himself, believing one to be one of my figures.

In all honesty, I am not trying to be controversial or taking a pot at WB, I am just trying to put our figures along side others and trying to show differences to help that mission. If I gave that impression, I genuinely apologise.
I collect Britain's myself and purchased the latest 7 Viking / Saxons from Ken while in the store they are ace.

Overall, the figures all look great together.

Cheers,

Malcolm.
