Here is an interesting topic for a future Beau Geste series that is in keeping with Beau Geste's interest in soldiers from the 19th C Colonial Empires. These uniform plates depict Italian soldiers (plates 1-6) from the colony of Abyssinia (Ethiopia) and their enemies (plates 7-10). They were the combatants in the Italo-Ethiopian War of 1895-1896.
