Went to the movies last night and one of the things I love is the coming movies but these...well just wonder if there is a creative bone in all of Hollywood anymore? The 3 were all names we are all familiar with: Ben Hur, Magnificent Seven and Tarzan. Ben Hur and the Magnificent Seven are some awfully big shoes to fill and other than bigger special effect and more explosions the characters looked... well something less than Charlton Heston and Yul Brenner.

There's a wealth of material out there but they seem to want the same old same old.None of those movies you mentioned interest me as I've seen the classic versions.I guess for the younger generations there might be some interest but I doubt it.Tarzan really.^&confuse{eek3}

Here is the release schedule of upcoming movies . If you click on a movie most have trailers. Not much to look forward
to with much anticipation. For me anyway. Tulip Fever maybe if it has enough sex. Long dry Summer.

Remaking Tarzan again? It is an incredibly popular subject, considering that at least 2 dozen actors have portrayed Tarzan at one time or another. Anyway, there was only one true Tarzan and that was Johnny Weissmuller, who made 12 Tarzan films between 1932 and 1948. No one else is close, not counting TV renditions. Who can forget Weissmuller/Tarzan defeating the Nazi threat in the jungle as 'Tarzan Triumphs'? :wink2:^&grin -- Al

This one appears to be Tarzan fighting the exploitive evil colonial white men.....

I am about to out myself as not just a toy soldier geek, but a geek in general. I am looking forward to the Warcraft movie. I do not play the massive online game, but the original RTS's were favorites of mine.
