Matt,

Are these the Russian Tauride Grenadiers that will be coming in late April? I took this picture from the First Legion workbrench on your website.

ALL RIGHT !!!!!! Now we got ourselves a Battle !!! I Can't wait for these !! What can you say except AWESOME , They look GREAT  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gebhard

Awesome! There goes more of my discretionary funds!!! Very nice.

WOW!! Russian Grenadiers that come with plumes on their shakos. It's a simple thing, but someone has finally done it right. Thanks FL for doing your homework. Great looking figures.

Beautiful figures; simply stunning. Anyone with an interest in the Russians battles should be thrilled with these. Congratulations Matt on another excellent release.

Matt,

Excellent!! I see at least one totally unseen before figure, the marching grenadier in the back two rows. Come to think of it the second flag bearer is also another unseen before figure. Are all twenty figures shown somewhere in this ad?

Any body who collects FL Napoleanics is going to have a world class collection.

I agree , I started with a couple of the Bavarians and it has snowballed from there . I also collect Aeroart and pro painted kits which are not cheap , double  . To me First Legion has filled the void , the problem with the Russian Figures and Master painted kits beside the price is that no matter how much you spend you will never have enough figures of the same unit to make a decent display . First legion is releasing 15 to 20 figures of a particular unit to start with , giving you plenty of choices of figure positions to make a decent set up . I even wish they would do more, case in point , I need some shooting Prussians ;) .And I'm sure Bill would love even more British variations . Seriously anybody who claims to be a fan of the Napoleonic era and is passing on these is IMO missing out on something special . How can anyone look at these Figures and not find a way to at least start a small representative collection ,no matter what manufacture you are currently collecting . All the best Gebhard

I also collect these and yes they are expensive but I'm lucky that I collect FIW and do small vignettes of woodland indians and a few whites in the forest and don't have to do mass formations. There aren't that many kits, especially action oriented in this range.

All very true. Of course in my case it all started with the question of how can a confirmed Sharpe devotee not collect Napoleonics when they look this good. Thus I was done in by the initial French lot, which are a true bargain at $35. I know I plan on swelling my ranks right smartly when the re-issue is completed.;):D

All you Russian front collectors must be over the moon for these.:cool: I think this is their most impressive set of foot soldiers to date.:D

I was hoping to have seen the pre-ordering close-up pictures on the website by now. The new American Revolution range has center stage for the moment; hopefully the Russian Infantry individual photos will be coming shortly. From what I have seen so far these are indeed outstanding figures. Hurrah, more Russians. :)

According to another thread, from a German source, some Brunskwick Infantry will share the release at the same time, late April.

I sure hope your right , I have been trying to be patient while waiting for both the Braunschweiger Infantry and the Jaegers of the Avantgarde . I'm just dying to see what First Legion can do with their grey uniforms , should be AWESOME ;) All the Best Gebhard

Hi
Thanks for that Guy - but I have been on already and of course no dealers in Australia - I have heard that it is too costly to sell to us down under. I thought there were dealers in Paris that sold them so why go direct to the US?

I discovered (advertising) Manufacturer FL in late 2007 in a French magazine called "miniatures magazine. At the time there was no dealer in France, so I spent my first orders Live web.Depuis their site, there is a dealer in France, but as I have always had satisfaction live, I still like to spend my orders début.:)Guy.
