Coming soon: photos of a K&C Sturmovic, Aichi "Val", Elvis, Charlie Chaplin, etc.
I just came home from a wonderful day out with Hans and Larry. We took a ride down to the Pocanos to visit Jim Hillestad's Toy Soldier Museum and Mike Rosso's Shop in Stroudsburg. At Jim's I made a suprise acquisition: an extremely limited produiction (I only know of this one and the one in K&C's Hong Kong shop) K&C wood and Papier Mache diorama base of St. Paul's Steps (with the outside of the diorama made to look like part of a castle), fitted with the polystone World of Dicken's facades, for the display of the World of Dicken's figures. The base itself, done in a gray stone finish, will make a fantastic addition to my WWII Market Garden Diorama. Hans also dropped off my K&C Ilusian Sturmovic (a WWII Russian tank busting ground attack fighter) as well as his Christmas presents for me: The K&C glossy Elvis and Charlie Chaplin figures. Larry gave me his Christmas gift: the Blue K&C "St. Andrew's" Golfer figure. I presented them with their gifts as well. `Tomorrow I pick up my wife's Christmas present for me: a K&C Aichi Type 99 "Val" bomber (phiotos of this piece will have to await the holidays). When I get home from work tomorrow evening I will photograph these interesting new editions, and e-mail them to Brad to post for me. Merry Christmas to all!
