What an absolutely great idea. History and a hockey match. Good for Bakersfield.:salute:: -- Al

On November 10 the Bakersfield Condors, a minor league hockey team in Bakersfield, California, will commemorate the 150th anniversary of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address by wearing a special jersey.

The jerseys are available from the Condors for $140. Their address is http://bakersfieldcondors.com/

Here's a story about the special jersey,

If Gary doesn't get one of these, then he's not a true collector.

I go to a lot of the Hershey Bear games. They are a ton of fun and a lot less expensive than the NHL. They get between 9-10K fans for every home game. They frequently auction off special game jerseys for various charities and you would be amazed by the prices they fetch. Typically $500-2K depending on the player.

I saw on their web site that they will be auctioning the game used jerseys after the game. The whole thing is kind of cool and certainly different.

Interesting jersey, but nothing I would want.
I,m sure it will fetch in the $250 range.
Gary
